![]() ![]() for every misfire of corporations trying to relate (pepsi protest commercial), theres another company getting better at it its almost subverting itself, but ultimately it still succeeds as an advertisement. it doesnt immediately read as an advertisement, conceptually it executes the levels of irony and deconstruction that usually make for successful memes in this genre or whatever. its like, an extreme anthromorphism of a brand, and that brand representing a corporate interest, and successfully passing itself off as a sentient entity on twitter, thats really weird to me. to have the same avenue a human would to express themself. What im saying is its scary that corporate twitter accounts are getting good at twitter. advertising is going to become so much more subtle, manipulate your behavior to a greater extent, and completely pervade every aspect of our lives the more we rely on the internet for everything from entertainment to social validation. Okay i just had a bad epiphany but corporate interest’s influence on the internet is going to become so much stronger now that generations that are internet naturalized have grown up and starting working as “social media consultants”. Tho you have to buy the full version, but the free one is good for quick sketches Medibang Paint is a comic drawing software forked from FireAlpaca mentioned earlier in this post, and is available for mobile devices as well! ( Windows, Mac, iOS, Android) OpenToonz has made many improvements since it’s initial release! ( Windows & Mac) If you know more free programs, please add onto this! OpenCanvas 1.1 - ( Windows, not sure about Mac.) Paint tool SAI 2 beta - ( tumblr post on said program) Sketchbook Copic Edition - ( Windows and Mac) Photoshop CS2 - ( Windows, not sure about Mac.) Also, I’ve only ever used Windows, so for the most part, I’m not sure if everything will work for Mac. Keep in mind all computers are different, so not all will work for everyone. I know not everyone can afford such an expensive program, so I’ve compiled a list of programs with no cost to download and use. ![]() So recently I came across a fellow artist who was struggling to find a free art program, and considering dropping the large amount of money for a Photoshop license. ![]()
